A quick look into June

Only 5 more months until the BIG day...
It's slowly but surely all coming together. The venue, wedding dress, photographer, baker, band, DJ, minister, florist, invitations, shoes, jewelry, garter, guest book, table decor, wedding hanger, hairstylist/ makeup artist, & bridesmaid's dresses are just a few things that can happily be checked off my long wedding list of to-dos.

I met with Rachel from Pine Hills Floral Designs to get ideas on flowers for the wedding. She was super sweet & I can't wait to see what floral designs she creates for our wedding.

I ordered this wonderful jewerly set from earringsnation on Etsy. It looks great on!

Something blue...
This stylish garter set also came from Etsy by LeAngeBridal.

This picture is just like how our Guest book Tree is.
It was the first item I purchased from Etsy.

This is the cake design I chose for Nita Lee to make. I can't wait to see the final product on our wedding day.

So I have the white cage for the cards, I just need to make the card sign
& decorate it with the ribbon.

Beautiful & creative hanger by EricaMayMade to hang my wedding dress on.
The only difference is that mine reads- Mrs. Weidlich, June 30, 2012.
Another wonderful Etsy item.

We finally chose a dress for the bridesmaids.
I hope they turn out nice.

Make a Scene...

Need photo props for a party? Make a scene with photo props at your party. I was looking to purchase some on Etsy and then came across some adorable props on ohhappyday.com. All I have to do is download the file and print! With my wedding costs adding up I was so excited when I found these to print. Yay!

On the Search

Searching for a cute bridesmaid dress can be difficult. I found these dresses from Weddingdress.com where they have plenty of colors to choose from for each style.

Today me and two of my bridesmaids had an adventurous day shopping for bridesmaid dresses in New Orleans. Although we didn't find the right bridesmaid dress, we didn't leave completely empty handed considering we got a parking ticket and some memories to laugh about later down the road.

Looking Forward to 2012

I've never been big on New Year's resolutions or looking into what the New Year will bring, but this year it's worth looking into and counting the blessings that it will bring. For the most part I have always known what there will be to come or so I feel like I have, but 2012 is a blank canvas waiting to be painted. In 2012 I am looking forward to getting married to the most incredible guy I know and moving to Alberta. I like to always know what is ahead and where my life is taking me. For a first time in a long time I have no clue where I will be working after I finish out this school year teaching or where me and Steven will find a home. Hmm... Will I wait tables, work in retail again, or will I even be able to find a job while waiting for my teaching application to process in Canada? Will we live in an apartment, condo, or a small house of our own?  So much to think about... Either way it is going to be an amazing & exciting year because I will be married to my best friend and get to discover all of these things with him.

You know how when you're a little girl and you watch all those Disney movies believing that there is a Prince Charming some where out there just for you but as you get older you're like "Yeah right!". Well it's funny because I think back to Cinderella & think of Steven as my Prince Charming. I know it's silly but he is everyting I used to pray for in a guy when I was younger. It's quiet nice going to bed every night and him being the first & last thing I thank God for every night. Spending forever with Steven is what I look most forward to in 2012. I also look forward to exploring Canada. There seems like there is always something to do in the city. It will be a bitter sweet experience since I'll be SO far from my friends and family. I guess they will just have to visit me a lot and I am hoping the huge mall will persuade them to visit often. :) I will most certainly be counting my many blessings this year!

Reunited & It Felt So- Good

Just as I was hoping! I was reunited with La Poutine while enjoying my Christmas vacation. I sure did enjoy my Spaghetti style poutine while out in the city with my fiance. Mmmmm... It was delicious!

Check out all the different types of poutine you could enjoy yourself. I think I'll try pizza poutine next time :)

The Ultimate Canadian Sport

I received a full taste of Canadian hockey while visiting Edmonton this Christmas. Not only did I get to go to an Oilers game, I got to watch team Canada play against Czech Republic up close and personal at a World Junior Championship game. The packed rink was roaring with adoring fans and excitement for both games. I especially liked the smell of fresh Boston Pizza and the taste of draft beer while enjoying the game.

Things only got more exciting at the World Junior hockey game when we realized that the Prime Minister of Canada was seated on the next row over with his son cheering on the Canadians. Wow! What a great hockey experience for me!

All the way from Canada...It's Calling My Name

I may not be too crazy about freezing cold weather & worrying about busting my tail on some slippery ice, but there is definitely one thing I am definitely looking forward to getting my hands on when I go to Edmonton in December.... POUTINE!!! Oh, it is just so--- delicious! My mouth is just watering thinking about it...

My favorite by far is the Poutine with spaghetti sauce, followed by the one with bacon....
La Poutine is going to be one of my favorite places in that city I just know it!
Me & my fiance, Steven devoured our Poutine....
What a great place to enjoy some Poutine.... I'm sure when he moves back home he will visit it often...
