The Ultimate Canadian Sport

I received a full taste of Canadian hockey while visiting Edmonton this Christmas. Not only did I get to go to an Oilers game, I got to watch team Canada play against Czech Republic up close and personal at a World Junior Championship game. The packed rink was roaring with adoring fans and excitement for both games. I especially liked the smell of fresh Boston Pizza and the taste of draft beer while enjoying the game.

Things only got more exciting at the World Junior hockey game when we realized that the Prime Minister of Canada was seated on the next row over with his son cheering on the Canadians. Wow! What a great hockey experience for me!

All the way from Canada...It's Calling My Name

I may not be too crazy about freezing cold weather & worrying about busting my tail on some slippery ice, but there is definitely one thing I am definitely looking forward to getting my hands on when I go to Edmonton in December.... POUTINE!!! Oh, it is just so--- delicious! My mouth is just watering thinking about it...

My favorite by far is the Poutine with spaghetti sauce, followed by the one with bacon....
La Poutine is going to be one of my favorite places in that city I just know it!
Me & my fiance, Steven devoured our Poutine....
What a great place to enjoy some Poutine.... I'm sure when he moves back home he will visit it often...

And the Wedding Planning Continues....

I have fallen in love with this guest book tree. Instead of guests signing a guest book that will get stored away on a shelf to collect dust & never be opened again, we will be able to frame this guest book tree and hang it as decor.

This lovely piece will hopefully be arriving to the house soon so I can see if it will fit as a center piece for our reception.

The thought of a flower girl... hmmm.. I am leaning more towards having a flower girl. I have the cutiest little girl who is a dear family friend who may be my flower girl. I just have to decide.... Dresses for flower girls are just so adorable!

New Beginnings

Trying to figure out what exactly to have for a wedding seems to be quiet overwhelming and a lot to put together. I figured I could put my old blog from college to some use to help me better organize some wedding ideas & likes.

The venue comes first... This is the beautiful Oak Crest Manor Inn in Pass Christian.

I just love the button detail on the bouquet! The lavender colored bouquet would be perfect for my colors.

Mason jars, oh mason jars! There are so many fun ideas that it's hard to choose.
